Every Jaivik Butti basket is the work of many hands — 1,500 farmers across Karnataka who have chosen to grow food without chemicals. They're the reason the produce is safe, and the reason we can trace every vegetable back to where it came from. This is a little about who they are.

A federation, not a supplier

Jaivik Krishik Society isn't a company buying from anonymous farms. It's a federation — a collective of organic farmers who came together, under the Government of Karnataka's Horticulture Department at Lalbagh in 2004, to reach the people who value how they grow. When you subscribe, you're not buying from a middleman; you're buying from a network of named growers.

Why farmers choose the harder way

Growing without chemicals is more work. It means building soil health over years, managing pests without shortcuts, and accepting that nature sets the pace. Farmers who do it aren't chasing convenience — they're choosing a way of farming they believe in, for their land and for the people who eat from it. The least we can do is make sure that choice is rewarded.

A fair, steady price

This is where transparency and price insulation meet the farmer. When the market crashes — a glut of tomatoes, a collapse in onion prices — it's usually the farmer who absorbs the blow. Jaivik pays a steady, fair price through the season's swings, so a good harvest is never punished by a bad market. Your subscription is part of what makes that possible.

Growing the community

Part of the mission is bringing more farmers in — supporting those who want to switch from chemical to natural farming, at their own pace. Every new subscriber makes room for another farmer to make that change. That's the quiet engine behind the numbers.
